Re: Jam Workshop
I love Honnah – she is so patient & joyful & kind & creates a great learning environment. I loved getting to practice playing solos in many different keys & prompts with such a friendly & loving group of people! -Jane S.

Honnah’s knowledge is vast, I was able to ask any question I had- and we explored any avenue when it came to music. Honnah’s experience is outstanding: heading sound at Walton Arts Center, in Fayetteville, working at the AMP amphitheater, as well as special projects at Crystal Bridges  – and live performances with bands and groups across the Ozarks. I could recommend the learning I got to anyone.

I always regretted that I didn’t sign up for band or orchestra as a kid. I always wished I had learned to read music. It was a lifelong regret and I figured I’d missed the boat on being musical. Simply put, it felt like it was too late for me. I was so happy when Honnah said her upcoming ukulele ensemble was for all skill levels. I honestly wondered how that could be the case, given that there’d inevitably be expert players and then little old me, who’d never played an instrument. Seriously, how would that work? I bought a used ukulele off eBay and figured it’d all work out 🙂 Well, it turns out that Honnah has the perfect skillset for this type of arrangement! She is gifted at writing music, teaching students, and managing ensembles. She wound up writing songs that enabled experts and beginners to play together seamlessly. She was able to take complete beginners like me, and have us reading music and playing alongside people who’d been playing for years. The experience was unforgettable, and it gave me the confidence to continue playing music and exploring other instruments. I am even enjoying reading music FOR FUN! If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, you will get so much from this experience. And if you’re a beginner like I was, please know that you’re never too old to start playing music. Learning alongside other beginners AND folks with lots of experience is such an uplifting experience. Honnah is such a great teacher and inspiring musician! Sign up for her classes NOW; you will have so much fun! Thank you for the best, most fun, and most empowering and uplifting experience I’ve had in ages. You have unlocked something in me I didn’t know was there. You’re an incredible teacher and an inspiring human being.

Honnah is a really good teacher. She’s been instrumental in my improvements, and a helpful source of “bless your heart, try doing a C chord like this.” She is also quite adept at dumbing herself down to catch me at my experience level and (giving me the) ability to articulate myself.
